Wisdom Wins
As women we may find ourselves having to make touch decisions. There could be times when we feel like we have to wear more than one hat. And there are times when we feel as though something is a “mans job”. Either way God will give us wisdom on how to carry out our affairs, communicate with others including our spouse, and make moves that do not offend others or cause unnecessary conflict.
Proverbs 4:1 The wise woman builds her house, but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down.
Handling our affairs wisely gives God room to come in to address the situation, and sets the tone and atmosphere for any necessary changes or adjustments that need to take place.
While on the other hand, taking action or addressing a situation in a behavior or manner that is not done with wisdom can backfire and also have a negative outcome.
So what does God have to say about our approach.
What We Say
Ephesians 4:29 states, “Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building.
Proverbs 10:19 says, “Sin is not ended by multiplying words, but the prudent hold their tongues.”
Proverbs 12:18 The words of the reckless pierce like swords, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.
Our Motives Will Drive How We Say Something and What We Say
Psalm 19:14. Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.
Proverbs 21: 2 Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the LORD pondereth the hearts.
Colossians 3:7 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
