Navigating Through Seasons of Life Victoriously Is Possible

In life there are seasons, and the bible clearly tells us that. There are times when things are going well, there are times when it seems like a dry spell, and there are times when we are faced with challenges.  I say faced because that is it, we are just faced with them.  It does not mean that a particular challenge is going to take us down. And a dry spell does not mean that God is not with us.

Isaiah 54:17 says “that no weapon formed against us shall prosper.” In other words no matter what we are facing it can only last for a season and has an expiration date. You can hang on longer with the Lord then the enemy that is coming against you. He is going to cave in because he is no match for God.  Our ability to overcome glorifies God, and also gives us an opportunity to have a testimony for someone else who needs to learn how to trust in God.

John 16:33 “in the world you will have tribulation, but take heart, I have overcome the world.” That means anything you are faced with He has already overcome it. Therefore, because Christ lives in you, you are an overcomer in all things as well. We just need to trust God, watch the salvation of the Lord.

Philippians 4: 4-7 says “have no anxiety at all, but in everything by prayer and petitions, with thanksgiving, make your request known to God.”  God already knows what we need before we ask (Matthew 6:8) But our reaching out to God in prayer helps build our faith and a relationship with Him. Anxiety can cause us to doubt God and move in a direction where He is not taking us or cause us to be stagnant and not move ahead in life. It can also bring about sickness, illness and ultimately particular diseases if anxiety continues for a length of time.  This is why God says seek Him for instruction and direction because He will guide us. This will cause us to have peace in spite of our situation which is a sign that we have given our concerns over to the Lord.

Psalm 16:8 “I know the Lord is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me.” Therefore, even in a dry spell we must believe that God is with us. During these seasons we should still rejoice for all that God is doing, including the unseen things.

Trusting God through all seasons, for all things helps shift our perspective to be able to stand in the Lord.

The bible speaks of a time where a certain king was at war with Gods people Israel at that time.  And also, during this time there was a prophet by the name of Elisha who was involved with assisting Gods people as well. Elisha was a powerful man of God and no one played with him. On a particular day during this war time, there was a servant of Israel who was on watch who got up early in the morning to check on things and became startled to see that they were surrounded by the enemy with horses and chariots.  At the time the prophet Elisha was nearby and knew that this man’s perception was off.  Therefore, Elisha began to pray that God open the man’s eyes.

Elisha then said to the man “Don’t be afraid,” the prophet answered. “Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” And after Elisha prayed the man saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.

Stay close to the Lord, continue to build your relationship with Him so that your perspective is shifted to one that is victorious daily in the Lord.
