How to Level the Playing Field

In this life we often find that labels have been placed on people; lower, middle, and upper class, rich, poor, senior citizen, Caucasian, African American, Hispanic, Asian, handicap, to name a few. There are also organizations and clubs that are considered as exclusive where members have to meet a certain set of criteria. There are educational institutions that also have a set of required criteria related test scores, as well as alumni connections.

For many being a part of certain organizations or even educational institutions offers a sense of community, self worth, relationships to help build self esteem, connections, the upper hand, and being in the know.

However, through God’s word we have access to everything that we need. The Lord welcomes everyone who will receive Him, provides their needs, and gives them their hearts desires. This levels the playing field and everyone has access to success.

Like the earthly organizations our relationship with the Lord has benefits as well however, these benefits are long lasting through generations and are life sustaining.

To name a few some of those benefits include winning, overcoming obstacles, being content, feeling loved, and having more than enough.

Scriptpure Reading:

Winning and Overcoming Obstacles

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.

Romans 6:14 For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.

Romans 8:37 In all things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us.

Contentment

Matthew 6: 25-26 Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?

Psalm 37: 3-5 Trust in the LORD and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.

4 Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart. 5 Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him and he will do this:

Being Loved

Romans 8:35-39 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36 As it is written:

“For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” 37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Psalm 36: 5-7 Your love, Lord, reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies.
Your righteousness is like the highest mountains, your justice like the great deep.
You, Lord, preserve both people and animals. How priceless is your unfailing love, O God! People take refuge in the shadow of your wings.

Having More Than Enough

Matthew 7:11 If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!

Philippians 4:19 And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.
