Are You Equipped For the Fight in 2025?
In this life every day won’t be filled with roses, and rainbows coming at us. The “fight” that we are in varies from one person to the next. Examples of the type of fights we may be faced with in life can be our own mental state of mind, our current home life, a disgruntled co-worker, a mean boss, unruly children, unhappy marriage, financial challenges, disconnected families, sucker punches, and the list goes on.
However, the one thing that can be a guarantee is that God will be our protector, vindicator, our shield and more during these times. These are just a few of the attributes of God we have access to that are needed in order for us to survive not only this year but the years ahead.
The part that we have to play to gain access to the promises of God is that we have to trust Him, believe in him, and submit to Him.
Trusting
Proverbs 3: 5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”
In order to win this fight we have to trust and acknowledge God. The minute we decide to do things our way, or in a way that we “think” is best, or based on how we “feel” without seeking advice from God we will get off track, and from under the protection of God, and ultimately moving away from His promises and His plan for our life.
We have to remember that in our situation God is able to exceed our expectation of what we are asking or need Him to do. (Ephesians 3:20)
Believing
John 20:29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because you have seen me, you believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.
We have to trust in God even if we feel like we can’t see him. For Him that is someone who is faithful.
2 Corinthians 5:7 For we walk by faith, not by sight.
Every day is a faith walk for us. Each day we wake up we should say to God “God I trust you today.” That should be a daily proclamation that come out of our mouth and our hearts.
Submission
James 4:7 7 Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
When we submit to God we are doing what the word says. Submission can be difficult because it means that we cannot operate in our feelings, we cannot retaliate like we want to, and we cannot say whatever we want to. And when we get in our feelings it feels like we are “right.'“ But the danger in that is when we operate our way and we don’t submit to God the heat of the battle continues to come against us. We are missing out on God’s protection. This is why submission is so very important. .
Job 22: 21 “Submit to God and be at peace with him; in this way prosperity will come to you.
When we submit to God we then will have peace. This is how we see increase in our lives. Prosperity is the condition of being successful and thriving. And this is not just pertaining to our finances. Being prosperous in the Lord also means that our relationships with others are thriving (spouse, children, on the job, family and friends), we are thriving on our jobs, and in everything that we are involved in.
If you feel like you are under attack, submit to God. If not, the attack is gonna keep pressing you. We also have to stop getting used to defeat like it's our lot or all that we deserve. We have to trust, believe, and submit to God and then we can receive all that He has for us in this life.
