Healing of the Mind, Body, and Spirit Is Your Inheritance

Often we don’t understand the importance of healing in our bodies, minds, and our spirits.  We take these for granted and we are often on auto pilot in our daily lives, and we don’t even realize it.  Or we don’t even realize that there are areas within us that need to be healed.

We can sometimes begin to live and operate in this life that is not God’s best for us.  This typically happens over time especially when we are faced with or have gone through life challenges. We start to begin to operate more on our emotions and our feelings rather than the Truth of God. And this does not happen overnight. Then we find ourselves settling. We settle in relationships, finances, professional and work life, as well as our health to name a few.  Settling in these areas is what typically takes a toll on our health including our mind, body, and spirits.

Many times living the “best life” becomes mere hope, dream, and a wish for many.  There are people that go to their grave not living the best life that God has for them. As children the sky's the limit. They  dream big, think bid,  ask big and  hope big. But through time we shrink back in life, “life” itself takes over our lives and we simply roll in the direction that it takes us which ultimately harms our health.

Psalm 107:19-20

Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress. He sent out his word and healed them; he rescued them from the grave.”

Mark 5:24- 34

A large crowd followed and pressed around him. 25 And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years. 26 She had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better she grew worse. 27 When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak, 28 because she thought, “If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed.” 29 Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering.

30 At once Jesus realized that power had gone out from him. He turned around in the crowd and asked, “Who touched my clothes?”

31 “You see the people crowding against you,” his disciples answered, “and yet you can ask, ‘Who touched me?’ ”

32 But Jesus kept looking around to see who had done it. 33 Then the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell at his feet and, trembling with fear, told him the whole truth. 34 He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.”

Matthew 10 :1

Jesus called his twelve disciples to him and gave them authority to drive out impure spirits and to heal every disease and sickness.”

Proverbs 16 :24

Gracious words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.”

Psalm 34:18

The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”

Solomon 16:12

It wasn’t any herb or ointment that healed them but your word alone, Lord, which heals everything.”

James 5:16

“Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.”

Proverbs 17:22

A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.

Prov 4:20 to 22

“My son, give attention to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart; for they are life to those who find them, and health to all their flesh.”
